I got home this morning from Gurnee,Ill. about 4:30, and went straight to bed. Greg spent the night with his friend. The cat wasn't a bit happy that I didn't stop and scratch his ears for...oh, I don't know... 1/2 hour or so. So, to pay me back for not noticing him, somewhere about 7:00 when he thought I ought to be up, he set up howling at my bedroom door. When I didn't respond he commenced to ripping up the carpet, jumpimg at my door and utterly makeing me mad. I really did need to get up but I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of getting me up so I lay there and stewed and planned. Finally I did open the door and kicked him out of my way, he came back I kicked him again. Stupid cat came back purring like I was his his long lost buddy. He hates spray cans so I found one in the bathroom and carried it back to my room, just bareley left the door open enough so I could see when he came up to the door and when he did I let him have a face full. He was quicker than me and ran as soon as I opened the door. After one more assault on him I went back to bed and declared I would murder him if he so much as sniffed at my door before 9:00. I soon fell asleep but didnt rest good so about 9:30 I got up. Stupid cat was waiting for me, he just wanted petted. So I did, pet him that is.
Pretty soon the phone rang and Danielle asked if I could take her to the store for some gas because her car wouldn't start and she thought it was out of gas. I took her a can of gas but the car still wouldn't start. So, yesterday being her birthday I took her and Isaiah to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. When we got back her car still wouldn't start, she said she didnt need to run around anyway today because her livingroom needed cleaned , so I dropped her off and come home. Swept the livingroom and kitchen, did some laundry and here I am. Dismal grey day. The bright spot was breakfast, I told Danielle I couldn't spoil my daughters so I would spoil my daughter in law, she said she wouldn't object. So thats my day, at least up until 1:30pm.

I agree, what a dismal day! Your breakfast sounds like fun! Danielle is a lucky girl, living so close. She gets all your attention!
So glad you got home safely!
Your cat sounds like he gets lonely and wants your undivided attention...right NOW!
You know how to remedy that cat's antics, let him sleep with you. We had one once that slept under the covers at the foot of the bed.
If I came over, would you spoil me too? Please?
Glad you're home, safe and sound in you're own bedy-by.
As Henry Wasdworth Longfellow put it, "Home-keeping hearts are happiest, to stay at home is best."
Who gets the credet for writing that piece about Alexander, Raymuth, Pete, Leftus and Curley?
Me,names were changed (made up) to protect the innocent.
