Ill share with anyone that shows up at my door.

Went to the Dr. yesterday to get the results on blood work I had done a month ago. She was very concerned about a couple of things. One was a bladder infection that I didn't even know I had, another was way too high cholesterol, (thanks spell check), and something about red blood cells that are too small and cannot ward off infections, thats why I always feel tired and my mucsles ache. I also have an iron deffeciency, way too much calcium, and a form of protien that is making my liver work way too hard. AND my thyroid isnt working either. Amazing what all they can find out from a little blood from your arm. Almost sounds like daddy doesnt it? Anyway she gave me a perscription for antibotics and cholesterol and I have to have more extensive blood work done in another month. Some of the tests, she says, are very expensive and since I have NO insurance........... I guess Ill be looking for some kind of heath ins real soon.
I dont feel bad except fo being tired, but maybe I do and dont know what feeling good feels like.
She told me to stop eating broccoli because it has more calcium than my body can handle. So, I guess its straight up salads for a while and maybe some grilled chicken on the side. Life is way too complicated these days.

The Best Salmon Patties I Ever Ate

1/2 c. mayo (I don't use the mayo, watching fats, doesn't change the taste at all)
2 t. Dijon or spicy brown mustard
1 whole egg
1 t. sugar
1 t. onion powder
1 t. lemon zest 1 can salmon
1 large baked potato
1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Mix bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and set aside. Drain salmon and mix together with remaining ingredients. Form into 12 patties and roll in crumbs. Fry until lightly golden brown, about 2 minutes per side, in about 1 T. olive oil. Try not to eat them all yourself!!!

Well,,, I've lost 6 pounds this week. Could be the meds, could be the diet again. Either way I'm happy to see it go. B/P was 126/76 this morning, feeling much better.

On this very dreary, rainey day I had the simple pleasure of sitting on my very own front porch to eat my breakfast. I had perfectly cooked grits, soft and creamy scrambled eggs, toasted english muffin with orange marmalade and coffee. It was absolutely intoxicating to just sit and watch it rain, wthout windshield wipers and spray from other vehicles to mess up the view. I think rain is beautiful as long as it doesnt hang around too long, but we needed it and my flowers and apple tree were singing THAANKYOUUU.
Greg is in Florida with all the rest of my kiddos, going to Disney World. They paid his way, so its just me and the ( very happy to see me home ) cat until next Tuesday. Its toooo quiet and the house was exactly the way I left it on Saterday , and I'm just not too sure if I really like that so much. I know my blood pressure has gone way down because I have not had a headache since last Friday when I took Greg to the airport. The last time I had it checked it was 177/117, scarey I know and , yes mom, I will get back on my medicine as soon as I can find a day to go to the Dr. and have my perscription refilled. Its been two years since I stopped taking it, so I'll have to have a new perscription anyway.

Here is my first loaf of Boule Bread. The dough was really wet and didn't hold its shape very well. I didn't make the slashes in the top deep enough but it was yummy, I couldn't wait for it to cool before I had to have a piece. I'm going to make some cinnamon rolls now, come help me eat them.

Aint he a handsome lil boy
