Grillin and Chillin

The Other Side Well my grilling idea had some major flaws. Good idea but bad planning. Ya see I had these 4 chicken breasts in the freezer that were screaming to be grilled so I go outside in the 26° afternoon and dust the snow off the grill. Light my charcole and get a good fire going , when the coals were just right I put the chicken on. First mistake, if its 26° outside the fire has to be pretty hot to cook chicken. I didnt have enough charcole to make a hot fire so the chicken didnt cook. Second mistake, I finished cooking it in the microwave. Third mistake, tried to eat it. It was like eating a rubber band, bland, tasteless, greasy and generally not good. Soooooo I'm boiling it and I will make chicken pot pies for supper. I really am a good cook, Ms.Woosy was here remember? She really makes a mess of everything. Next time I try to grill in 26° weather Ill have a fire so hot it will melt the snow in the entire yard. Maybe I'll grill Ms. Woosy!!

Toooo funnny!! That would be a good way to get rid of her for good!!!

We live and learn don't we? Now I will know not to try to grill chicken when it is 26° outside!! But all was not lost, pot pies are good too. One of Ed's favorites!

You go girl! First off, I wouldn't even think of stepping outside to grill at that outragiously cold temperature, second off, I wouldn't even think of grilling anything, that's Kenny's job if it gets done. I'd opt for the easier way, boil to begin with. I boiled 6 chicken legs the other day to make chicken noodle soup, I didn't have any celery or noodles so the leggs got removed from the bones and made very good chicken sandwiches, Mmm, Mmm Good! I admire you for trying anyway, you always did have more guts than I did. Pot pies sound good. Don't think I've had one since I stayed at Ruby's in the late eighty's. Got any left? I'm on my way. Keep the light on.
