I tell you, after reading about all the devastation across Mo. last night and this morning it really makes me count my blessings. I was in Wichita, Ks Thursday morning and had to come thru Kansas City and was home last night, (after stopping at Lois's house for a wonderful salad supper) about 11:30 . The wind was horrible, mostly from the south at about 35 mph gusts. But as I came east I could see the sky darkening behind me and at times it seemed like the wind was at my back, even pushing me home. I even commented to Lois that somehow I had made real good time and was almost two hours earlier than I expected to be. I guess some of my angels were behind me making sure I was out of danger. I don't know how many times over the last three years in this job that I have heard of terrible weather or accidents just behind me. I'm so glad I know the maker of the storm, and I am very aware of the times He has changed my plans to keep me from being where the destruction was to be, or of the times when I have taken a wrong turn just to find out later that the road I would have taken was shut down because of an accident and I would have been right in the middle of the mess. I don't know how people live without the peace that passes all understanding.

Yes, we do pray for your safe return home. 'For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.'
